Welcome to Dogwood Farm
Dogwood Farm is an intimate and unique boarding experience for your dog. Our custom-designed facility, built in 2003 and renovated in 2020, offers luxury accommodations with personalized attention. We have a small staff and only board 10 families at a time, depending on the configuration of accommodations needed.
Therefore, we are frequently full. Call early during busy seasons: summer, holiday weekends and December/January.
We are closed: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. No pick ups and deliveries will be made. If your dog is staying for that holiday, he will need to go home the following day.
We offer pick up and delivery, since many of our clients are from St. Louis and St. Louis County. We do encourage our clients to come out and visit and to drop off and pick up if they prefer.
Our kennel is within view of our house. The dogs are constantly monitored throughout the day, starting at 7 am and ending at 9p. We feed twice a day and clean twice a day. We are family owned and function with a staff of two, Ben and Elizabeth Niven. Both of us have more than 30 years of experience in the care, boarding and training of dogs.
All of our kennels and yards are premium accommodations. We only offer two sizes of kennel runs: large and extra large – all are climate-controlled indoor kennels with 24/7 outside access.
