Boarding Your Dog
Our rates are $25 per day for one dog.
This includes 24-hour access to 4 X 8 indoor and 4 X 14 outdoor runs
(limited only during extreme weather conditions), daily exercise yard/playtime,
owner-supplied food/special diets or our premium food and dispensing any owner-supplied medications.
We charge $42 per day for two dogs, either together or in separate runs, according to owner preference.
We offer discounted rates for more than two dogs or for extended stays (more than 30 days); call us for details.
For security reasons, our gate is locked. Please call ahead to schedule a visit, drop off or pick up your dog(s).
Pickups and deliveries are scheduled during the week, usually before noon. We try to offer flexibility in our schedule and often add times around holidays—call us to arrange. While this service originally was offered free, we now charge to cover increased transportation costs:
St. Louis County/City: Pickup/delivery is $50 round trip per family of up to four dogs. One way is $35.
St. Charles, Franklin, Warren and Lincoln Counties: Rates depend on distance. Call to arrange.
Note: We do not deliver dogs to empty homes or backyards. Please schedule delivery for when your travel is complete.
Because we are a small facility we take check or cash. Payment is always due upon your receipt of your dog. For long-term boarding, we do require advance payment.
We now offer professional grooming at our facility. Please let us know prior to boarding or a couple days before your pet goes home that you would like to take advantage of this service. Our professional groomer will come to our facility and bath/groom your dog to your specifications. Fees vary depending on the hair coat and size of your dog and the services desired. This can be discussed in advance. Full service grooming includes: ears cleaned/trimmed, nails clipped/fur trimmed, anal glands expressed, bath, blow dry/brush out (de-shed treatment), bandana optional! Other options include: shaving or full cuts. Grooming fees will be added to your boarding bill.
For long-term boarding customers or for frequent boarders, we offer veterinary services on a limited basis. We will take your pet(s) to our veterinarians to have shots updated and other medical procedures agreed upon prior to boarding or as needed (with permission). There is a transportation/appointment fee of $45 per round trip. Procedures of more than $200 need to be paid directly to the veterinarian by credit card. We work with several veterinarians and can recommend one based on your pet's need. If you would like your pet to go to his or her own veterinarian, please let us know and we can discuss logistics. In the case of emergencies, we will follow protocol established in our boarding agreement, making all efforts to contact owners prior to any emergency procedures.
We require all dogs to have rabies, DHLPP-C vaccinations (we need a copy on file), and bordetella. Your dog(s) must be on heartworm preventative and topical flea and tick prevention (Frontline preferred). We also require that dogs (and owners) be non-aggressive and that any behavior problems be discussed in advance. Damage to the facility will be charged to the owner.
You will need to complete the following forms each time your dog is boarded with us; for frequent boarders, please update us with travel and contact information.
Owners must also sign a release so that we have instructions for emergency medical care. We require that Dogwood Farm be reimbursed for any medical expenses spent on your dog during the boarding period.

You can make a reservation for your dog(s) via email or by telephone. While we prefer 24-hour notice prior to boarding,
we understand that emergencies do arise. Keep in mind, Ben is cleaning the facility and exercising dogs during the day, so you will
probably get voice mail when you call. We will call you back. If it's an emergency, call the backup number given.
Please make sure you leave your name and phone number.
